Rekha to play Salman Khan’s mom in 'Sultan'?

Rumour has it that veteran actress Rekha will play mom to superstar Salman Khan in the YRF movie ‘Sultan’.

We know how fond Rekha and Salman are of each other. We saw their bonding when she appeared on ‘Bigg Boss’ last year to promote her movie ‘Super Nani’.

Now, the two are reportedly set to strike a different chemistry as mom and son in director Ali Abbas Zafar’s movie ‘Sultan’ which is slated to release on Eid next year, but whose shooting hasn’t yet begun.

The movie will have Salman Khan playing a wrestler, and from all accounts, Rekha is tipped to play his mom.

A confirmation from YRF is still awaited.

The production house hasn’t yet confirmed the film’s leading lady as well.

Director Ali Abbas Zafar has gone scouting locations in Punjab.

Salman Khan shying away from media? Actor to skip Bajrangi Bhaijaan promotions

After going through intense media scrutiny recently, Salman Khan has decided to stay away from the limelight for some time. The actor will apparently not promote his home production, starring Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, or his next, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, to avoid facing the media.

Owing to the recent developments in the 2002 hit-and-run case, Salman thinks that the media will invariably ask him about his court hearings and the sentence suspension if he is part of the promotional activities.

uniel Shetty (father of Athiya) and Zarina Wahab (mother of Sooraj) had visited Salman last week after the court verdict. Since they have entrusted him with the responsibility of launching their kids, it’s likely that they know about the actor’s decision. Kabir Khan, the director of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, has also been informed about the actor’s stance.

Setback for Salman Khan

In a setback to Salman Khan, the district and sessions court in Jodhpur on Thursday rejected his revision petition for re-examination of five witnesses in a case of violations of the Arms Act.
Jodhpur District and Sessions Judge Manoj Kumar Vyas while upholding the decision of the chief judicial magistrate refused to interfere in the subordinate court’s decision.
Khan through his advocate moved an application before the CJM court on April 22 demanding re-examination of five witnesses.
Counsel for the actor said that after three eight-year-old applications of the prosecution were allowed and four witnesses were examined a few days back, the scenario of the case has changed.
However, the application was dismissed by the CJM court on April 23. Khan had challenged this order by way of filing a revision petition before the district and sessions court.
Replying to the arguments made by Khan’s advocate, the public prosecutor alleged in the court that actor was trying to delay the verdict. He raised strong objections on the petition.
“We will examine the decision of the court as soon as we get a copy of it and may avail an appropriate legal remedy,” Hastimal Saraswat, advocate of Khan, said without commenting on the verdict.
Khan and a few other Bollywood actors are accused of poaching blackbucks on the midnight of October 1-2, 1998, during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain.
Khan is accused of carrying and using illegal arms and also of carrying arms with expired licence. A case of violation of provisions of the Arms Act was registered against him.

Hit-and-Run case: Driver comes to rescue but lawyer's 4 questions corner Salman Khan, yet again

 Hit-and-Run: Lawyer corners Salman Khan

Salman Khan's driver Ashok Singh came to his rescue but Special public prosecutor Pradeep Gharat cornered the Bollywood actor once again in the infamous 2002 hit-and-run case. According to Salman's driver, he was driving the car on Sept 28, 2002. [Hit-And-Run and Surprising Twist: Here's what Salman Khan's driver said in court] Hit-and-Run: Lawyer corners Salman Khan Singh, while taking questions from the lawyer of the prosecution, said, "I was driving the SUV at the speed of 20-30 kmph when the tyre burst and the brake jammed. The car went over the steps. I saw that people were trapped beneath." "I got out of the right side and Salman too got out of the right side as the left door was jammed," said Singh who also claimed that he along with Salman had tried to lift the car after it had hit the pavement. [Salman Khan's driver a dummy witness in 2002 Hit-And-Run case; court urged to reject his claim] Now, here are public prosecutor's 4 questions which cornered Salman in court once again: Why did Ashok Singh not come earlier and said that he was driving the car? Why did the defence lawyer never mention anything about the driver in last 13 years? Is the Land Cruiser a type of vehicle that if driven with care and control will still go out of control? If 20-30 kmph was the speed, how did the car climb the pavement and get completely damaged? Charges against Salman Khan: The actor is charged with ramming his car into a bakery in suburban Bandra on Sept 28, 2002, killing one person and injuring four who were sleeping on the pavement. He was drunk at the time, according to the police. Charge of culpable homicide too was invoked against Salman in 2013. This is a fresh trial being held in a sessions court after a Magistrate added the charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder which lays down punishment up to ten years.

Shahrukh Khan’s Rival Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif And Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Feature In New Movie ‘Fan?’

Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan

One of Bollywood’s most successful actors, Shahrukh Khan has already signed three new films in 2014. As we’ve been seeing some behind-the-scenes looks of his upcoming film “Fan,” some new secrets are being revealed about the movie.
Not only will we see SRK as the leading role, but some other big name actors are said to be featured in “Fan” as well. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen SRK and Salman Khan in the same film because of their past rivalry, but while they still butt heads at the box office, it looks like this time they’ll have to work together...well...kind of.
Salman as well as his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan and many others will be featured in a cameo for the movie, but there might not be much interaction.
While shooting in London, SRK shot one of the scenes at the Madame Tussaud’s that holds many wax statues of the Bollywood stars.
“Thankx Madame Tussauds. Allowing us 2 shoot Fan with all aur’ stars & our star Maneesh. Very gracious of u. 1st film to shot at ur premises,” tweeted SRK.
Although the actual stars don’t make an appearance, their statues do, which is better than nothing for the fans.
SRK was previously filming in Eastern Europe for Sharma’s film and was shooting a stunt in Dubrovnik.
Khan revealed that Sharma has been working on this project for almost a decade and has been wanting to work on it with the actor for some time before retiring.
“‘Fan’ is the film that he wanted to make ever since we have known each other,” said Khan.
As far promoting the film, Khan admitted that it is the “Easiest thing to do. I work 100 times harder when I am shooting for a new film than when I am promoting it. promotions are like holidays.”
A variety of names have been dropped for the actress who will star opposite of SRK, but now the director confirmed that super model Waluscha De Sousa has been roped in for the film. Filmmakers reportedly decided to choose her because she is not from the industry, but has taken special training in acting for the film.
The model has apparently started filming with SRK in south Mumbai and at an Andheri studio.
“Fan” was supposed to be released by early of this year, but due to some injuries by Khan during the filming of “Happy New Year,” the movie has been postponed to Sept. 23, 2015, which is Bakri-Eid.
