According to Salman's driver, he was driving the car on Sept 28, 2002. [Hit-And-Run and Surprising Twist: Here's what Salman Khan's driver said in court] Hit-and-Run: Lawyer corners Salman Khan Singh, while taking questions from the lawyer of the prosecution, said, "I was driving the SUV at the speed of 20-30 kmph when the tyre burst and the brake jammed. The car went over the steps. I saw that people were trapped beneath." [Salman Khan's driver a dummy witness in 2002 Hit-And-Run case; court urged to reject his claim] Now, here are public prosecutor's 4 questions which cornered Salman in court once again: Why did Ashok Singh not come earlier and said that he was driving the car? Why did the defence lawyer never mention anything about the driver in last 13 years? Is the Land Cruiser a type of vehicle that if driven with care and control will still go out of control? If 20-30 kmph was the speed, how did the car climb the pavement and get completely damaged? Charges against Salman Khan: The actor is charged with ramming his car into a bakery in suburban Bandra on Sept 28, 2002, killing one person and injuring four who were sleeping on the pavement. He was drunk at the time, according to the police. Charge of culpable homicide too was invoked against Salman in 2013. Shahrukh Khan’s Rival Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif And Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Feature In New Movie ‘Fan?’

Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan

One of Bollywood’s most successful actors, Shahrukh Khan has already signed three new films in 2014. As we’ve been seeing some behind-the-scenes looks of his upcoming film “Fan,” some new secrets are being revealed about the movie.
Not only will we see SRK as the leading role, but some other big name actors are said to be featured in “Fan” as well. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen SRK and Salman Khan in the same film because of their past rivalry, but while they still butt heads at the box office, it looks like this time they’ll have to work together...well...kind of.
Salman as well as his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan and many others will be featured in a cameo for the movie, but there might not be much interaction.
While shooting in London, SRK shot one of the scenes at the Madame Tussaud’s that holds many wax statues of the Bollywood stars.
“Thankx Madame Tussauds. Allowing us 2 shoot Fan with all aur’ stars & our star Maneesh. Very gracious of u. 1st film to shot at ur premises,” tweeted SRK.
Although the actual stars don’t make an appearance, their statues do, which is better than nothing for the fans.
SRK was previously filming in Eastern Europe for Sharma’s film and was shooting a stunt in Dubrovnik.
Khan revealed that Sharma has been working on this project for almost a decade and has been wanting to work on it with the actor for some time before retiring.
“‘Fan’ is the film that he wanted to make ever since we have known each other,” said Khan.
As far promoting the film, Khan admitted that it is the “Easiest thing to do. I work 100 times harder when I am shooting for a new film than when I am promoting it. promotions are like holidays.”
A variety of names have been dropped for the actress who will star opposite of SRK, but now the director confirmed that super model Waluscha De Sousa has been roped in for the film. Filmmakers reportedly decided to choose her because she is not from the industry, but has taken special training in acting for the film.
The model has apparently started filming with SRK in south Mumbai and at an Andheri studio.
“Fan” was supposed to be released by early of this year, but due to some injuries by Khan during the filming of “Happy New Year,” the movie has been postponed to Sept. 23, 2015, which is Bakri-Eid.

Salman Khan: Bollywood star denies driving 'hit-and-run' car

Salman Khan

Bollywood star Salman Khan has told an Indian court that he was not driving on the night he is accused of running over five men sleeping on a pavement, killing one of them.
The actor was charged with culpable homicide by the Mumbai court for the September 2002 hit-and-run incident.
Khan said his driver Altaf was driving the car when the crash occurred.
The actor is one of Bollywood's biggest stars and has starred in more than 80 Hindi-language films.
Several of his films, including Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger, Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aap Ke Hain Kaun, have been huge commercial hits.
The actor has always denied the charge against him.
If convicted, he faces 10 years in prison.
Late on the night of 28 September 2002, Khan's Toyota Land Cruiser rammed into the American Express bakery in the Bandra area of Mumbai, authorities say.
The vehicle ran over five people sleeping on the streets, killing 38-year-old Noor Ullah Khan and seriously injuring three others. Another person received minor injuries.
The prosecution has alleged that Khan was driving the car and that he was drunk.
On Friday, the actor told the court he was not drunk and was not driving the car either.
He said he got out of the vehicle from the driver's side because the door on the passenger side was jammed.
Khan is a hugely popular and successful actor, but he has often been described as a "bad boy" heart-throb.
In 2006, he was sentenced to five years in prison for hunting a protected deer, but was released on bail after spending less than a week in jail.
An appeal in that case is being heard in a higher court.

Salman Khan says he wasn't driving or drunk during 2002 accident

Facing multiple charges, Bollywood “bad boy” Salman Khan has denied that he was driving under influence on the night of the 2002 accident that killed a pavement dweller and left four others injured.
Accompanied by his sisters, Arpita and Alvira and a personal bodyguard, Salman was presented in front of the judge for a final testimony in the retrial of the case before the final arguments begin.
According to Times of India, the actor, who has been charged with culpable homicide recorded a statement on Friday morning denying that he was driving under the influence of alcohol and that evidence placed against him was “false”.
He further testified that his driver Ashok Singh was driving that night and said at the beginning of his deposition, “the accident was not caused by me sir”. Although Salman Khan’s bodyguard and chief witness constable Ravindra Patil had claimed to have seen him step out of his Toyota Land Cruiser from the driver’s seat after the incident, Khan’s justification was, “My left door was jammed so I couldn’t open it”. Ravindra Patil later died in mysterious circumstances in a Mumbai hospital in 2007.
Salman didn’t deny that he had been to the bar with his brother and a few friends that night, but he claims that he did not drink and showed bills to prove that he had only ordered water. The manager of the liquor bar identified that the actor had come to his bar but was not sure if he had had any drinks. Similarly, the waiter who served Salman’s table did not notice whether the Kick actor was drinking or not.
Under the Indian Penal Code if the Bollywood star is found guilty of the charges placed against him, he will be looking at 10 years in jail.

Katrina unveils Madame Tussauds statue: She has become a bigger star than me, says Salman

Actress Katrina Kaif has became the latest Indian to be featured at the Madame Tussauds museum. The actress unveiled her 150,000-pound life-size wax statue yesterday and while many have congratulated her on being chosen over her competitors like Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone for the honour, the biggest compliment came from her ex-flame, Salman Khan.
Bollywood Life reports that when Khan was asked about Kaif unveiling her Madame Tussauds statue, the actor jokingly said that he believes Kiaf has become a bigger star than him.

Kaif has become the seventh Bollywood actor to be honoured with a figure at Madame Tussauds London and joins the league of actors like Amitabh Bachchan (2000), Aishwarya Rai (2004), Shah Rukh Khan (2007), Salman Khan (2008), Hrithik Roshan (2011) and Madhuri Dixit-Nene (2012).
After coming face-to-face with her wax model, Kaif said: "This is amazing it does look really like me."
"Our world famous sculptors have worked closely with the Indian film industry over the last decade, and we now have a stellar line-up in a specially created Bollywood area - one of the most popular in the attraction," Madame Tussauds, hailed as London's premier tourist attraction, said in a statement.
Katrina, born to a British mother and Kashmiri father, was picked after she went head to head with competitors Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone to win a hotly-contested online poll last year conducted by Madame Tussauds, together with Panjab Radio, in which over 225,000 votes were cast.
"Katrina collaborated closely with the Madame Tussauds artistic team to ensure total accuracy and is delighted with the figure, which is portrayed in a dancing pose wearing a beautiful sequined white, silver and gold, two piece outfit," a museum spokesperson said.
Katrina's figure was created by a team of 20 sculptors and artists over a four-month period, using hundreds of precise measurements taken at a sitting in Mumbai and cost 150,000 pounds (USD 223,117) to create.
Madame Tussauds Studios London has been making wax figures for over 150 years with each masterpiece taking up to four months and a team of 20 dedicated sculptors to create.
Over 500 precise body measurements are referenced, real head hairs are inserted one by one, and countless layers of paints and tints are applied to build up skin tones to achieve a kind of astonishing realism that visitors flock to see from around the world.
The Bollywood factor has proved extremely lucrative, with Indian holidaymakers and NRIs forming a large chunk of the visitor numbers at one of London's most popular tourist spots.

Jacqueline Fernandez not a part of Salman Khan’s ‘Shhuddhi’?

Karan Johar’s much ambitious magnum  opus- Shhuddhi has been in news for the numerous delays that the film has faced ever since the inception. After Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor walked out of the film, Karan signed on Salman Khan to play the lead in his dream project. Jacqueline Fernandez’s name was floating around as the leading lady but it seems the actress is not doing the film at all.
At a recent event, Jackie clarified, rubbishing all rumours, “I am not doing Shhuddhi. I have not even been approached for the film”. There were numerous speculations about Deepika Padukone being roped in for Shhuddhi but later, there were reports of Jackie being roped in to fit into the role that was earlier offered to Kareena.
But with Jackie confirming that she is not playing the lead, we wonder who Karan is going to sign for Shhuddhi? Meanwhile, the film’s been on the back-burner due to another delay in the shoot. The film that was supposed to go on floors sometime soon this year might have to postpone its first schedule, owing to Salman’s prior commitments to Kabir Khan and Sooraj Barjatya.
The actor who is now busy wrapping up Bajrangi Bhaijaan will soon start promoting the film while he completes Sooraj’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, that is due for a Diwali release this year. It will be only after Bajrangi that Salman might get a window to start Karan’s film. But as of now, everything’s definitely falling out of place for Shhudhhi!
