Salman Khan Hit And Run Case: Chemical Analyst Expert’s Statement

Salman Khan’s 2002 hit and run case have now come up on the next stage. During the last hearing, all the records of Salman Khan’s licence and legal paper regarding to it were examined. After checking all the records, RTO officer found that the actor had no driving license in his name when the incident of hit and run occurred in 2002. Now on February 12, chemical analyst Bala Shankar was asked to present in the court the blood samples taken during the time of accident.
During the cross examination on Thursday, expert analyst told the court that he received 6 ml of the blood for the analysis during the time of the accident. Later, he said that when he measured the blood sample it was 4 ml. He also stated that he could not read the name of Salman Khan properly which was written on the name tag of the blood sample tube.
Expert analyst was questioned and investigated by the defense regarding the blood sample he took during the time of the accident. He said he did not know anything about the new methods of analyzing the blood samples. He also said that he was just 16 days for the retirement so he was not aware about the new methods.
Salman Khan’s lawyer, Shrikant Shivade, will continue to cross-examine him today. The trial had examined the analyst to establish that Salman had liquor before his car met with accident in suburban Bandra on September 28, 2002, killing one person and injuring four.

The actor has denied that he was on the wheel during the accident in 2002. If convicted, he could spend up to 10 years in prison.
